Hey.
New member.
Old prepper.

I'm not a died in the wool fanatic about prepping (bunkers and world wide destruction) kind of guy. Nothing wrong with that if you are. I just happen to know my cholesterol will catch me before the zombies ever will.

I've lived a while in Houston and rode out a storm or six. Add that to a few harsh winters in back in North Texas and Mother Nature has taught me that she abhors people who do not have their stuff screwed on tight. I'm usually the guy in the neighborhood who comes out after the storm, shifts his grip and stance a little, and then goes right on with life. It boggles the minds of those who never bought more than three boxes of Mac-N-Cheese. I try to help as best I can, but there is only so much you can do until they have lived that scenario.

When we moved to AZ (to avoid more summers on the coast) I had to get rid of a lot of material and rethink how I was going to prep for events. That's how I found this site. I've been lurking here a few times but thought it was time to make it formal.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum GTGallup. I lived down in the dirty valley for about 12 years, and then a little over 16 years ago, moved up here in the N.E. area of Az. Hated the valley, besides, it has become a cess pool, hookers, drugies, illegeals, and wild random shootings.

Nadja - The valley isn't so bad. It's far and above better than Houston. MUUUUUCH BETTER!

One upgrade at a time. Hope to have a little OTG cabin up above 4000' one day.
