Haven't clowned around with one past a hundred yards or so but you tube has some cool videos of folks doing long range shooting with the round.Say around 200 yards or more.
That is very impressive, and the M-52 was the best American firearm back then. I remember picking up beer and soda bottles along the roadways to get the return deposit, to purchase a brick of ammo. On sale a brick of .22 shorts was $4.00 the longs were $4.50 & long rifle was $5.00 (That was sale price, regular price was 10% higher).About 55 years ago I spent the summer with a Winchester model 52 and a brick on cil Canuck.22 standard velocity. Had to shoot most of the time at 200 yards as I shared the range with the state national guard team. If I dooped the wind right I was able to get similar groups and scores that they did![]()
Interesting, He shoots right-handed, but uses his left eye. Nice video THANKS.Haven't clowned around with one past a hundred yards or so but you tube has some cool videos of folks doing long range shooting with the round.

Good guns. My 52 got misplaced back in the early 70s. Today I've got a model 69 - a pre war. That is very impressive, and the M-52 was the best American firearm back then. The first quality .22 I owned was a WW-II German Mauser, military training single shot with a 28" heavy barrel. I now have a stable of CZ .22 rifles.
