I'm a retired Navy mustang and currently work as an ocean transport research/analyst on Jacksonville.

We are now empty nesters and feeling... Vulnerable. Grew up camping. Raised in Iowa.

Do not sell you prepping skill short. If you grew up in Iowa, probably at least 30% of the skills we are all desperately trying to figure out are second nature to you from your childhood. Although I LOVE to crack wise-ass jokes at the expense of I-wegians, I have never met one that was not a good, practical salt-of-the-earth guy.

I grew up in South Florida, until I could no longer stand what paradise had been turned into. We made our escape in 1995. And now Yulee has become another South Florida, just in the last few years.
We only go over to that side of the county a couple times a year when absolutely necessary.
Cows make the best neighbors.
