No real point other than many here like turtles and bacon. This looked like a creative way to combine both.

    Where do turtles come from?

Understanding the origin of turtles has been hampered by the lack of a good fossil record. For many years the earliest known turtle was Proganochelys from the late Triassic (ca210ma), which while primitive in various respects, had a full shell, both top (cararace) and bottom (plastron).

Or do you mean the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? They originated in self titled comic books then expanded into a cartoon series, films, video games, toys, & other general merchandise.

Deebo, I'm just joking around. Humor is so hard for amateur writers to convey.

Without spending a bunch of time looking through previous posts, I recall our love of turtles sprung from a thread where Prepadoodle was chastising some jerk. As I recall, the same thread also spawned our first discussion on one-legged IHOP waitresses.

As I think about it, the moderators should locate that thread and make it one of the "sticky" threads at the top of the introductions section as that thread was the genesis for most of the other slams that we currently use when a "government troll" shows up. :D
