    M-37 Ithaca

This is to @rice paddy daddy and @Mad Trapper .

Here are pictures of my three Mod 37's.

Basically this is a test of me trying this new computer with Win-10+,

Have used Win-7 for 10 years, inching my way through this system.

There two eight shot and one five shot guns.

The eight shot ones are brand new unfired prison guns that never were shipped.

The five shot is a retired police gun that had surface/handling wear, little shooting.

I refinished it in the original Parko process, added the sling swivels.

I have a bunch more scatter guns, this is just the Ithaca's.

Well that worked, but what sucks is that I had file names on each set.

Now they are listed by dates taken which means nothing to me for reference.

The button eject is a feature I like. No one ever answered weather the ability to so called slam fire was intentional or something that just happened in the design.

Give it time you like Win 10 better

In my opinion, Windows 7 was a vastly superior and user-friendly platform than Windows 10.

I like your scatter-guns. That slip-on side-saddle on the police gun is going to be an annoyance (and possibly a liability) unless you slit the bottom of it to slid back around the sling swivel. It will help hold it in place so it doesn't slide forward on the stock.

That Uncle Mikes was replaced, and the rear swivel now goes through it.

The picture is about 5 years old, part was replaced shortly after the photo.

    Good observation though!!!

Had no choice with the windows, cannot get it or any updates, they stopped supporting it.

Mine is just like the bottom ezample, except bluing instead of parkerizing, and no sling. The front sight has a red insert.
I too have an inexpensive nylon butt cuff that holds 5 extra rounds.
It stays just inside the bedroom closet door, with 4 rounds of OO buck in the magazine. The chamber stays empty with the safety off, because being left handed the safety is just too hard to access. When I'm ready to cook I just want to chamber a round and go without fumbling around trying to get the safety off.

The "slamfire" was built into the guns at the factory, mostly in riot and trench guns.

All three of these have the "slamfire" capability.

They were made without a disconnect.

Win 10 along with computers in general I hate.

Thirty years ago I wrote code for them all the time,

was in ASCII started using 8 bit perforated tape for storage and downloading.

Then graduated to an IBM XT with 5-1/4 floppy's.

I had one continual headache while forcing myself to learn how to write it.

I went to Cincinnati to a class for it for a week, but it was an advanced class, not for beginners like me.

It was an all expense paid trip, bought a mill for $185,000 from them.

I am no fan of the so called titles but after a few years and when they put the start menu back win 10 got easier.

There is a loaded one out of site in every room here, all with 00.

I really can't use them any more with my shoulder problems, BUT SHTF I will manage.

I prefer a rifle anyways, well too inbred into me from age 15 or 14 too long ago to remember.

My favorite rifle is the M1 Garand followed by the M14, then the FNFAL.

Carried the M1 for two years before the M14 came to our level. I have every bit of faith in those two rifles.

The next group is the IMI Galil's.

Fifth and sixth places are held by the M16 family.

If you can't tell I prefer 30 cal rifles.

I got laughed at one time for wearing a SAS sniper school graduate T shirt at the local gun club.

    Challenged the guy @ $10.00 a round @ 300 yards, he couldn't believe I put 10 rounds in a circle 3-1/4" in diameter.

Collected my $100 and went home, these guys were deer hunters not precision competitors.

That was long before all this sniper stuff came up to prominence in the last decade.

And I did graduate from the SAS sniper school, the same guys that wreaked havoc in northern Ireland.
