i dont think so, i like the marlin because of the side ejection rather than top with the winchester. i'v been using one for deer since the early 70's in Ga. with no issues. great bush gun, just sorta limited for long shots.

I don't care that much for pointy, bottle necked cartridges (30-30) however I do love me a lever. Especially a Marlin pre 2010. In fact the only center fire rifles I own are all levers and all Marlins with one exception - a Ruger Tropical No. 1 in 458 Win Mag.

The 30-30 will live on for many more generations although more and more young ins prefer the black rifles..

Shoot Hawg- folks like us and RPD and Big W all fall in that same catagory. Old, but not outdated.

Me? I got my 94 about a year ago for right at $250.

Model 94 lever actions make a great all around rifle. My pre 64 is the perfect Mi. swamp rifle. Ive taken a semi truck load of whitetails with it.

It was my great grandfather's deer rifle and was passed to me by my father in 1974 its been used and used again. Blueing is thin but runs just as good as it did back in the 1950's

Dang now yall got me continuing to wax nostalgic around here over them lever guns. If it was good enough for John Wayne..Lucas McCain and Josh Randall..its good enough for us home folks. I have one which is plenty..just need to be confident George Soros aint going to cut off the ammo supply another time. Can somebody get on Twitter and tell Trump to not to let that happen again. Thanks.
