    Best bullet for longer ranges

The gun is a 243. Which would be better for long range shooting at 300 plus yards? A lighter weight bullet or heavy weight bullets. We are talking coyotes or small deer. Accuracy is my primary concern. Thanks.

Check out a ballistics chart then do some testing to see what works best for your gun/skills/environment

So bullet weight really doesn't matter much?

Evidently you didn't study the ballistics.

That is a yes and no. It is a bit more complicated than that. Fallow Slippy's link. Do some research on long range shooting.

Long range shooters don't consider 300 to be long but they know balistics.

300 yds on deer with a 243 you will want a heavy bullet with good ballistic coeff, not only that but a hunting bullet.

Try a 100 gr sierra game king https://www.sierrabullets.com/store/...6mm-100-gr-SBT

Or Nosler partion or ballitic tip.

Smaller game lighter rounds will do but will tend to produce slower kills compared to a heavier round.

I think these Remington 100gr Core-lokt would do the job if you do yours.
