    Before I left TN and moved here with wife you could buy Stevens single shot , shot guns for a couple dollars they were every where.

    I was given the 1930's one for free. It had a broken firing pin, less than $10 from Numrich.
    It was so rusty and ugly, I sanded down the metal, hit it with gray spray primer, then a top coat of Rustoleum flat black.
    It is my barn gun, stays out there all the time, so if I need a gun quickly I don't have to run back to the house.
    One of these days I'll cut the barrel down to about 20 inches to get rid of the choke. Anything I'd be shooting would only be 10 yards max anyway.
