I'll add reload when you have spare time, not when you're low on ammo.

@inceptor , What heat? It was 58 when I got out of bed this morning.

I have no Idea what idea going to happen election time or in the aftermath.

Other than ammo shot with repairs (customer supplied), I only shoot 22 LR.

I have tons of ammo, but I know if SHTF there will be no more.

this is why I thank the maker I have a brother with a reload set-up... with no family.. who has nothing but time and money to devote to my reload demands.. I remember him well @ Christmas when he visits (and brings reloads).

I think you need to get him , powder primers and bullets as stocking stuffers.

Don't wait much longer, supplies are drying up.

This is August in Texas. The average day here is around 100.

I have 2 new shooters in the family. My wife and one of her sisters. Neither until recently had even remotely thought of owning a gun. They all of a sudden decided this was something they need to do and learn. Teaching someone who has never touched a gun is a long, slow process. I tried with my wife about 100 years ago or so and she HATES indoor ranges. One time and I could never get her to go back. I am now a member of an outdoor tactical range.

We also live in the burbs. Getting out right now is not a realistic option. So my own outdoor range is not an option.

A while back I finally picked up a couple of 9's. I'm a 45 kinda guy. I got a good deal on both and decided to give them a try. I like the way they handle and the capacity. Got some ammo about the same time. Neither of the 9's I bought fit their hands. They took a class and didn't do well since the guns didn't fit well. We bought them their own. They decided what felt right for them. There wasn't much extra ammo available at the time. You understand that when your teaching someone new, you're gonna need extra ammo. I want them to learn to shoot what they own so they are comfortable with it. Every gun has it's own feel. I want them to be able to not think about the gun if any situation they run into should require such and be able to deal with the situation at hand.

It turns out the sister in law is a natural. She's pretty darn good and just needs to refine her use. My wife is taking longer. So, I don't have to worry about the shortage now that I have the targeting system. I also don't have to worry about the heat and humidity.
