Right now an 18 inch 1 in 7 with WYLDE Chamber. If I can not get the groups where I want them. That will change.
Keep us posted with the results please. I’d like to know how they perform.

Some basic facts in the 1 in 7 the 69-77 gr is going to do best all other things equal. I may find latter that one of my Voodoo barrels may have an edge

Weather has been wet and wind but got out for a bit today Here are some interesting numbers.
Weapon is Ar with WYLDE chamber. 1 in 7 SS 18 inch. Hornady Match .223 73gr. 100 yards very light wind. The rounds are 2790fps at muzzle.
3 shots to adjust zero barrel slightly warm. I have some others to try but looks like this weapon will be using them for coyote .
Next 3 shot group right on the mark two shots touching, third was about 1/4 inch. I stuck a note on the weapon " don't mess with it"
Because I changed the scope on the RPR 6.5 Creedmoore I wanted to try it. Adjusted zero at 100 yards 3 holes became one large one.

Had a little chance to play today. Same Weapon as above.
Federal Premium .223 69gr matchking 2950 fps at muzzle 3/4 inch group at 100 yards and slightly low . The Hornady was a clear winner.
SSA Nosler 5.56 77gr 2475 FPS 1 inch group Low Both federal and Hornady beat that round
I have some .223 75gr match 2790 FPS to run through it also
Keep in mind the WYLDE chamber would favor the .223 but is safe for 5.56.
In theory and comparing the numbers the Hornady 75 and 73 should be darn close
If this keeps going the way it has been the weapon will end up on a diet of .223 73 gr ELD match bullets with a target of 2790 at the muzzle.

Sounds like that federal 69gn is some pretty good stuff too. 3/4” group with that velocity and weight is pretty respectable.

Yes but it is more expensive than the Hornady That had two touching and the 3rd was less than 1/2

    Some more data to comsume
.223 Hornady 2790fps 73gr ELD Match zero 100 yards and holes in hole dead on Same weapon
Hornady 2790fps 223 75gr BTHP Match nice groups opened up a bit but shot low about 2 inches every time. Interesting thing is bring scope up to the 200 yard radical mark and it hit dead on at 100 yards. Now is t the extra 2gr or the BTHP making the difference or both.
Reminder this AR is a WYLDE chamber
