In a sea of magazines my choice for AK rifles

After a great deal of use and abuse I can recommend, without hesitation and firmly affix my seal of approval to the new production, Croatian AK 47 magazines that are being offered by site sponsor and purveyor of all things gun Apex .

These all steel construction magazines are built to the same specifications as Military Surplus Yugoslavian Bolt-Hold-Open magazines that generally sell for $15.00-$25.00 depending on condition. I have heard some complaints about weight compared to Russian Bakelite and ((10)) Bulgarian offerings. The weight difference of these magazines compared to my Magpul and Tapcos is negligible at best. They fit in everything I have tried them in and they are a good fit, locking up solidly with minimal if any lateral movement (wobble).

At $10.95 each, any Prepper could do alot worse than these magazines. They even come individually wrapped and coated in a modern lubricant that, unlike cosmoline on Milsurp mags, just wipes right off. They are ready for long-term corrosion resistant storage in the bucket of your choosing.

I have not had the first malfunction as a result of these. The only detractor I can find is an exposed area at the leading edge of the feed lips that is sharp and unfinished. This can be filed down with ease, but it is quite sharp. If you are like me, you prefer steel magazines over polymer for long life and reliability. These will not disappoint.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be ordering a few of those.

You can never have too many magazines.
