tools to slaughter a trapped animal

    Hi,

I am from Australia and I have a lot of wallabies (small kangaroos) on my property but unfortunately do not have enough land to qualify for a gun license.

Can anyone suggest a tool to slaughter it?

Get really good with a bow & arrow, maybe a crossbow. Are you trapping them?
If you trap them you could just cut their throat and let them bleed out, it will go quick.

    And welcome to PF.

You have to own a certain amount of land to own a gun in AUstralia? That sounds like an asinine elitist system.

has to be a common problem there - what's your fellow ranchers doing?

PS .... that gun restriction based on property is about as un-American as it comes ....

We have a creature here in the states called a raccoon, . . . don't get as bit as your wallaby, . . . but are certainly probably more aggressive.

Some folks keep a barrel of water for them, . . . and when they get caught in the live trap, . . . trap, coon, bait, . . . and all go into the barrel, . . . 10 minutes later the problem is over, . . . and if you want to keep the pelt, . . . there are no bullet holes.......

    May God bless,

Buy traps and run trap lines. If you eat wallaby or turn them into dog food or dingo bait just skin them and quarter them. I would imagine not much meat on the front shoulders.

    Welcome to the forum.

Being the animal is already trapped. You could use a club, spear, knife, shovel, bat etc. Good strong smack to the back of the head should end your problem. I wouldn't use a gun anyway.

Welcome to the forum. Can you own crossbows? They are very accurate.

Get a sword and practice head lobbing. Gotta keep fresh warnings on the pikes, eh?
