Found a great system for sharpening knives

Went to a gun show over the weekend, . . . did not plan on spending one thin dime, . . . just browsing (had one for sale, . . . sold it).

    Found this there: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lansky-Shar...sAAOSwYZJdmVmh

    Seller said it was a part of an estate he was liquidating, . . . outside had $10, . . . inside had $5, . . . got it for the 5.

Brought it home and tried it out on a couple of knives, . . . one a really good one, . . . the other a chicom knockoff. Both were sharpened "sharp" in about 5 minutes or less, . . .

Just spreading the good news in case someone out there like me, . . . just is not one of those "sharpener guys", . . . and needs a system to make sure it gets done and gets done right.

It also comes in a little plastic box that would not be a problem toss into the get out of Dodge bag.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

i've been using the Lanskey System for over 40 years.
Worn out two, now using my third.

I'm still using Arkansas stones or aluminum oxide for really dull stuff.

The Arkansas stones are still as good as new, large quality ones 12" X 3"

@dwight55, can you post some pictures of the knives? I've never used that system, in fact, I've never even seen one. Thanks for the post.

Stop by anytime, Smitty. The driveway is mostly devoid of ice, I have a 'police dog' that actually looks like a little white Bichon (he's 'undercover'), but it's my wife who bites strangers. I just put a new layer of blue painters' tape on the Edge Pro fixture, and I might touch up a little Cold Steel folder.

I did get some new stones, one at 4K and the at 15K. These filled the "holes" in my polishing spectrum. The coffee pot is on...
