I only caught the first half of the speech. Seemed like a peaceful, patriotic rally/protest at that point to me...Trump was citing various instances of election fraud. Then I had to leave for an appt. By the time I got back, granny was watching the whole ordeal on T.V. Unbelievable.

From what I gathered afterwards, Trump told protesters to go down to the Capital. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that was all he said. He didn't tell anyone to break into the building. I will say that it wasn't the time to get people all riled up and angrier than they already are. It was time to calm the people down and assure them that justice would still be pursued, regard,less of the presidential transition later this month.

What happened was a combination of things...Yes, Trump was constantly being vilified....Also the lockdown, the beer bug, people losing jobs, people feeling cheated by voter fraud, antifa / blm riots. It just all came o a head and boiled over. I doubt we've seen the end of it, either. I feel very sorry for the National Guard. I think they've got a very bad time coming.

Now the Libs are out for blood and won't let up until they've got him beheaded at the guillotine.
