Even during the primary a month or so ago, when our county commissioners had enacted a "mandatory" mask requirement, the polling places merely said masks were "suggested" and not required.
I did not wear one to vote, no poll worker said a thing.

NOW, Illinois, being Yankeeland and not The South, things may be different.
Pretty much the same here. No masks are required inside. One person complained on the news. They must be a yankee.

I'm voting next week in person myself. I was just waiting for the initial rush to die down some.

Early in person voting starts Monday. We will go on Thursday (I'm off) during the day when there will only be 2 or 3 people voting. My wife wants us to go together, all this stuff in the news has her hesitant go alone as a little old white lady.
Our Precinct is small but covers a large area, I'm expecting it to be deserted during the day.
Florida law bans weapons inside "a polling place" but I'll have my little Ruger LCP2 in my pocket. I'll take my fixed blade off so as to not draw attention.

I voted opening day in person, masks were strongly recommended but not mandatory.

We dropped off our ballots on Saturday in front of the local library, the the drop box. WA state has been using mail-in ballot fraud for years now - no other way to vote.

I am sad to report that my wife (soon to be ex {kidding}) voted for the enemy. She watched me very closely as I put her ballot into the box, assuming I'd not do so and destroy it - which I more than thought about. I was sad that Saturday was also our wedding anniversary and I was not the best person that day knowing she voted for demonrats...yes, we had many discussions...but...she's tired of the "dictator" trump and will take her chances with the new dementia pedo joe & his hoe. I am doing my best to not blame her, but it's been difficult...

Oh well...I also don't think our votes matter in this day & age - but, I would not not vote because I don't want to be part of the bigger apathy problem. There is nothing external I can do for this country that I don't just do for myself and my family. Most of my extended family are socialists (ALL the young ones) and demonrats - sister, all my wife's family...Only my youngest brother is of the same mindset as myself. Oh well...

Edit: It gets worse! I forgot to mention that my wife didn't understand all the negative connotations I had with socialists/socialism. She sent me an article as why people get confused - there are 2 meanings...that's why! OH MY! No, I don't have the article, I deleted the link and had to shut my mouth!!!

    Peace,
    Michael J.

If she thinks Trump is a dictator it must be because CNN/MSNBC told her he was. I haven't seen a single thing he done that is dictator like.

Unfortunately she is just misinformed. Dont let it get between the two of you.

This country went to hell the minute we let women vote and drive.

This post made me unreasonably sad. How long have you been married? It would be hard for me to be married to someone who supported what the left supports. Abortion is a hot-button topic with me (the murder of babies is, in my opinion, the highest form of evil in existence) and looking at someone, sharing a bed with, eating the food of, someone that supports that would be very difficult to me. I noted you sayin she "watched you very carefully" to see if you actual put her ballot in the box. These speaks of trust issues, which leads me back to asking how long you have been married to this woman. I wish you best, and I hope for your sake and that of any progeny you might have, that she comes to see the light. "Be ye not unequally yoked together" is great advice in the Good Book.

Because being an responsible American does not depend on what any other person is doing.
