With my experience in the Army common sense doesn't come into play very often.

Subscription cancellations is the only cure for that kind of stupidity.

Don't need that garbage laying around the house for innocents to read.

Here's a link to Army Times, I do not see the name of Sarah Sicard on the link to the Editors page? Did I miss something or is this fake news?

    https://www.armytimes.com/editorial-contacts/

But I did find her as a staff writer for a website periodical called Task and Purpose

I'm not sure. I admit I didn't verify this because I've found the Daily Caller to be reliable in the past. There's a quote in the article from the Executive Director of the Army Times, so, yeah. I don't know what's going on, unless she hasn't started the new job yet.

The Army Times parent organization, the Military Times, is civilian owned and not a government publication.
Just like Stars and Stripes, or Military.com. They are civilian as well.
I get news from all of these, in fact I get daily briefs to my email from all.

I also get daily briefs straight from the Department Of Defense.

It it were run by the government, it would have turned into a social justice publication during the Obama Administration.

I think it's common for most people to believe that nightly news is about as good as it's going to get. I disagree.

We have local news on right before the national news. If something major is happening in Madison, and it gets picked up by Lester Holt, you can almost check off the items that differ on the same story. Now usually they will post a picture of a snowy night in Wisconsin where a semi-truck hits a guardrail so hard you can't tell if it's a Kenworth or a ball of scrap. And lots of times you will see the same serial footage several times, like it's the only car in Wisconsin that ran off the road.

I had a science teacher in grade school who broadened our education with topics outside the usual purview. How many teachers ask the question, "Why do news gathers only interview the homeless toothless lady?"

If he's still alive, I ought to go back and thank him!

"Why do news gathers only interview the homeless toothless lady?" I guess I missed it, this has what to do with a putting a lib in as the news editor?
I will not submit! Just leave me be!
