He's all the way in nork (Newark). No time. I gotta finish my canning, get everyone out the door and then and go take a nap. I've been up since 2am canning.

Lord have mercy, you need a nap!! Well, if you ever see him walking around in your locale, give him a few smacks for us. And maybe a color brochure on Slippy Pikes.....

Ahhh, hey Annie, you put your finger on the issue bothering him.

This "live abortion" concept has angered most of America. It has been proffered that a live child, fully functioning outside the mother's body, is a full-fledged American citizen. If a butcher was to try and coat-hanger such a child, most of us would just shoot him in defense of the innocent.

If this ever happens--even once--and Booker is the one who has supported this, perhaps he is afraid of being taken out by the anti-abortion crowd.

I happen to be part of the anti-abortion crowd. Yikes, just buy a condom, but don't kill someone because of your carelessness...

Annie. What are you canning in May? I have some asparagus ready but other than that, what is available for canning now?

Presser cooking meat here. Nothing's ready to can. I know we have lettuces in the ground, herds, some other stuff. I keep forgetting to ask my husband what he planted.

Annie, all my wife has for larger cuts of meat is a Crock Pot. I think there's an antique pressure cooker here, but I think the last time I saw that it was for stew. Is there a reason for the pressure cooker and long(er) term storage?

If you are going to can meat, or other low acid foods, you must process them in a pressure cooker. Water bath canning won’t reach a high enough temperature.
