    America's future....

    I know, I know, I know....no need for concern.....

I'll just throw some figures and stuff out here for discussion....

Roughly one half of today's younger generation would opt for socialism over capitalism. Yeah, I know...as they grow older their political tastes change. We'll see. In the environment we are in today, I don't think they are going to change like they used to.

    Some definitions/labels

Generation X....in between baby boomers and millennials
Generation Z...the youngest that are able to vote
    Millenials.....early 80's and early 2000's DOB

Gen Z and millennials are projected to make up 37% of the electorate in 2020, and what they're looking for in a presidential candidate is shifting.

The top three voting issues for Gen Z, according to the Harris poll, are mass shootings, racial equality, and immigration policy and treatment of immigrants.
Millennials' top issues are access to health care, global warming/climate change and mass shootings.
Gen X's top issues are: access to health care, terrorism/national security and the national debt – the same top issues for boomers and older.

Add into the mix the new breed of freshman politicians who as of now, have literally taken over the political spotlight. Flash in the pan? I don't think so.

Add into the mix the unwavering opposition to even slowing down illegal immigrants into the country. Not only do they do they not want to slow them down, they want more to come in and establish sanctuary cities to protect them. They are pushing hard for them to have voting rights. How do you think they will vote?

Add into the mix, not only the acceptance of more muslims into the political system but the protection of them when they say radical statements.

Yes, I'm aware some of you will just think....here's Robie, just an old white bigot, scared that what he remembers as the good ole days are slipping by....

I would respond to that with....nope, not scared in the least. Just sad to actually be able to watch my country turn into something I hoped it wouldn't.

Lots of states are starting to change color. When that happens, the electoral college changes. When that happens, radical legislation gets passed. When that happens, amending the Constitution is a breeze.
    You say....we'll be fine?

    I guess we'll see.

This easily and simply equates into the reality that my values and beloved culture has a predictable expiration date. I am saddened and angry, but am only left with limited options.

    I hear you Robie,

Which is why most of us "Prepare"...I'll never achieve my goals of having enough of what I need to one day simply lock the gates and let the world do its own thing and leave me alone...but it doesn't mean I'll stop trying...

Duck and cover hadn't thought of that in awhile! I remember them making us get under our desk at school and crouch down. Even tho I was a dumbass little kid
I knew if an A Bahm went off I'd be a pile of ash. Now that I'm an old dumbass I keep trying my best to be prepared! I agree with you'all!

From what I'm reading and hearing...every special civilization throughout history has an expiration date.

    I fear ours is nearing.

I may not agree everything stated 100% but that doesn't change our growing destination possibility.
