He is a fool of course. We should ban cars you know people get hurt and killed in them.

This guy is driven by grief to do something even though it would not have made a difference. Some one who wants guns, drugs or women can always find them no matter how many laws are passed. Screwing with responsible people’s freedoms so we can feel good about doing something that ultimately will not produce the stated intent is a waste of time and money. And freedom surrendered to your state or federal overlords you will never get back. Ben Franklin was correct that those who sacrifice essential liberty for temporary security deserve neither.

They we're shoving that petition in my face a while back. I looked at it and handed it back with the comment to the effect of, we don't need another ill thought out useless gun law.

I am going to think he means well and, as @Camel923 said, he is driven by fear and grief. Still, fear and grief do not trump logic and reason.

Paul Kramers actions are ignorant and mentally ill, possibly as a result of his grief.

More laws and regulations will prove or do anything to stop crime or criminals. This is just another push to get more government control on the people, which is why the first and 2nd amendment are part of the Bill of Rights which the Constitution only reafirms.

Unfortunately how people feel often does trump logic and reason.
