It would likely be in you best interest both long and short term. God is always calling the question is will we answer?

You can bet your tail there is a good reason they are not telling us much about the killer. They need to clean up a few facts make it look better

New life as a house husband, major shift in duties.

Karl Marx said, "Destroy their culture, rewrite their history. Ruin their art and literature, and defame their heroes, by offering fabrications to scandalize that which they considered good.
After reading this Obama said I am on it.

Jack Wilson was the man that put him down. He had a Sig P229 with 357SIG round. He explains how he had to ensure he had a clean shot before executing shot. Head shot, from about 25 to 35 feet. phenomenal shot. He has a history of being a range owner etc. I think he knows what he is doing and practices, as we all should, quite a bit. 71 years old. Calm and accurate. HooYah

Our pastor said, do you see the sign on the door. It says welcome. Texas has laws requiring the posting of signage on the entrance. It is permissible if the leaders don't openly stop it. We had about 15 carry and the pastor was getting his in the North Houston area. We have since moved to Colorado and I carry as does my wife. We practice as well and we intend to brace anybody who comes into our sanctuary appearing to hide who they are as this scumbag did. My suggestions are (a) do not telegraph what you are about to do as the first victim did (fumbled with his gun and squared off to the guy giving him time to turn the shotgun on him.) (b) if someone comes in with a hoodie on and the rest of the congregation has taken their outer coats off, put two team members right on the person and engage him/her full on. A true Christian isn't going to hide their intentions. Get in their face and then greet them, challenge them, invite them, love them, and check them out top to bottom. Don't be afraid to say, "Hey brother, you are acting real suspicious. In today's environment we can't be too careful. Do you mind taking that coat off for a minute. If you are cold you can put it back on."

Amentothat! We just moved from Texas to Colorado in Boulder County (but not the city.) My wife and I are the only two "security" members in our congregation but thankfully our church is in Larimer county overseen by one of the MANY sheriff's who are refusing to confiscate firearms under the illegal red flag laws. It would never be our desire to harm any person. Ever. If I thought I could talk a bad guy down and eliminate the threat, I would do it in a second. But I fear they won't give me that option and I will protect our members up to and including full and complete use of force as necessary to STOP the threat. The fact is we must remember that if a person comes into the church with a disguise, with a gun, with an evil intention, they prepared and left their residence ready to kill us. Never forget that. We came to worship God. They came to kill.

    From USA Today.

"In other words, he’s exactly the kind of man you want around with a firearm. But we know nothing about the at least six other parishioners who also appeared to draw their handguns at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas.

    And that's terrifying."

I'm not sure why this woman finds it terrifying that at least six other people were carrying weapons. It's not as though they all fired randomly and there were dozens of congregants hit by friendly fire, which would have been terrifying. Six gun owners who show proper restraint with their weapons just is not scary.

She's also appalled that people who think we have a right to self defense are using this as an example of why allowing people to carry weapons is a good thing. As if the gun grabbers don't try to use every shooting to their own advantage.

My ability to recall lyrics from a song written in the 70's far exceeds my ability to recall why I walked into the kitchen.
