That is a good one Dave!

For many years, I lived near a couple of Interstates that go from the Northern US to the Gulf of Mexico or Florida Beaches. It was a common joke amongst us locals that the worst drivers on those Interstates heading to the beaches, were from Ohio.

I say this in good fun as well as with a bit of truth too!

I am not from Ohio but I used to travel to Cincinnati quite a bit. Love me some Montgomery Inn! And Jungle Jims is the absolute coolest grocery store ever!

Well, it's true yhat I was really looking for people who live in-state. I was lookin to see if there were enough of us to have any sort of meaningful conversation.
If any of you happen to get over here in Amish country and need to know where to go and what to do, feel free to holler. For instance, Inor there is a well known outfit here that makes wood-handled full tang knives. As well as some mighty fancy wood carvings.

Moonshine, I thought you were in west virginny?

I've only been to Montgomery Inn twice but both times it was delicious. Thanks for the memories, Inor, I had forgotten about it.

Hmm, I haven't been to the Montgomery Inn. The last time I went through the Cincinnati (sp) area I was more in the Waffle House mode. Given that, I enjoyed their grits and waffles.

Now, if any of you folks get near Sugar Creek, Ohio (not far from I-77), then stop by at a place called Dutch Valley. Food is great and they serve it buffet-style. Just arrive hungry!

I'm from Ohio originally, but I'm a 'Zonie now.

I do have an old H.S. buddy who still lives there (in the Mahoning Valley, Columbiana, to be exact), and he's interested in prepping. I'll try to get him interested in this site, but I don't think he seems to care for "forums" in general.
