    Hi---I have a question

Hi: I'm SJ and I'm new to the forum and to being a prepper. Just getting started and need something for storage. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the kinds of places I might look for a 40 ft shipping container at a really good price? Or any other suggestion for a completely secure waterproof storage container?

I hope to learn a lot from this forum.

    Thanks!

    Welcome from Florida.
Living near a port city helps when looking for containers. Back in '07 a 40 foot container ran about $1400. I have no idea what they are now, or what they would be away from a major port.

Welcome aboard from Arizona. The best I can suggest is to goggle shipping containers and check out the suggestions they have. Prices are all over depending on condition and location.

Here containers in any real useable shape are 2500 plus delivery. To much IMO you can build something for that if you shop right.

I've seen a few high mileage box trucks available lately in the $2500 or less range. A couple 20 footers but some retired U-haul vans 14-16 footers in the $1500 or less range. Why buy a container when you could have a something mobile. Fix it up for a BOV or if you ever plan on moving everything is all packed up and ready to roll.

You can also put up a small garden shed for less.
