    Hello from New York

    Hey everyone,
My name is Shane and this is my first prepper forum although I'm not new to the prepping idea as my father was sort of into it. And my family has always been with the idea of self sufficiency.

I live in the Hudson valley NY. Im 31 and enjoy the outdoors and my motorcycle. I am a gun and knife nut. And I love training, all types.

Well that's all for now, see you guys in the threads!

Hello Shane, and welcome to our forum. There have always been wise people, like your father, who believe it to be smart to be prepared for harder times just in case they come, also in the belief that learning certain skills that would help keep them and their families in a better position just in case something did happen, would be in their best interest. Today, they call it preppering, but I think it's been around in one form or another for a quite awhile.
