    - It's taking me longer to do the chapter on barn building than it takes me to actually build a barn.

    - That may make me officially Amish.

    - Funny how the image of preppers/survivalists tends toward Mad Max craziness, when so much of actual doomsteading is more Green Acres than Rambo..

    - Finished book readers will likely skip-ahead to the more tacti-cool subjects. But I'm writing in a more foundation-up order. And having to assume the reader has little to zero experience with what many of us would consider utterly mundane and obvious.

    - Continuing with the farmstead aspects of a doomstead... Will probably fast-forward to less Little House On The Prairie topics for a change of pace next.

    - Talkin' 'bbout my generation...

    .
    - Back to more practical doomstead concerns, like keeping the freezers going as the grid gets ever less reliable.
