Takes a few grays to make a meal. Grays taste good, reds are varmints, ground squirrels too.

They all can be pests if you grow things. I have dumped close to 100 chimpmunks this year, they become "crowfu".

Since I got my thermal scope . . . might just put it on a .22 rimfire and go see what "comes down".

    Been thinking about it . . .

    May God bless,

Almost all grays around here are black, but yes it does take a few for a meal. Fox are nice they are much bigger, but not as many around here. I don't bother with the annoying SOBs like reds and chipmonks.

The chimpmunks and reds are great range practice for the air rifle, then can make/do head shots on the rabbits and woodchucks easier.

I've had the munks and reds get into my barns and chew up all sorts of things, make nests, even chew through plastic gas tanks on trimmers and chainsaws. I try to have an air rifle and pellets handy whenever working in or near the house/barns

Greys are good eating but you need a few to get a meal. Clean and quarter, par boil, then fry up with some seasoning and breading

Greys are the only type legal to take in Florida.
    The rest are protected.
Not too many around our area anyway, we are mostly pine forest, very few hardwoods that squirrels like.
