having a beer to remember a good guy.

going to have a drink when I get off, for a damn good guy. Leaves behind a couple of young boys and a wife. I hear from mutual friends that he was an AWESOME singer, and this was one of his favorites.
What does this have to do with prepping? Well, no matter how much water, gold, silver, beans, bullits, whatever, our life is prep for the afterlife. Eternity. heaven? hell? does your soul have insurance?

Oh, and he was a damn good cop too.

Sorry, Deebo. It's also a good reminder to enjoy the now. It's easy for us types to get caught up thinking about the future sometimes and forget the important stuff we do all this for, like family.

My condolences. It seems the older we get the faster we lose our friends. At least he's going to a better place.

thanks all of yall, and yes, I still remember damn near everyday when Grandpa would say "so and so died" as he read the paper. You could tell it bothered him to see alot of the people he grew up dying all around him.
And, I posted this in HONOR, but also as some stated, that we can be the nicest, greatest, coolest, funniest, most prepared, have a ton of gold, but, in the end, we still have to "stand in judgenment".
