    Redundancy - Doublr or Tripple

It might be worth considering that once your BOB is perfected to duplicate it at least once then hide the copies. Imagine your predicament if your BOB was stolen or worse, confiscated. At least consider it while you still have time.

Just a comment. I have frequently worked 60 to 135 miles away from the house. My wife has always helped with keeping a bag of clothes in my ride, includes simple stuff very similar to a bug out bag, we used to call it an over night bag before prepper was cool.

You may consider having a BOB in your home and one in your car. Then you are not far from it, and if you need to bug out when you are at work your already part way there.

Between leaveing and arriving home, I frequently am gone for ten to twelve hours, five days a week. so a third of my life, my vehical is my second home.

I think that is a great idea. I have two BOBs that are backpacks, both of which are identical in size, but one carries .308 and .45 ammo, and one carries .223 and 9mm. I schlep the heavier bag, and the lighter bag is for my spouse (who hates to schlep anything, but will when the chips are down).

I also have an EDC bag for my daily use gear. It carries my wallet, checkbook, keys, pens, punch, knives, box cutter, flashlights, OC pepper spray, backup gun and speed loaders, and pain meds. It also carries two bottled waters, one per side, and some food (beef jerky, peanuts, trail mix, and hard candy), a Leatherman Wave multi-tool, and lens cleaning and sanitary wipes.

In my truck (primary BOV if the need arises) I carry a large latchable Plano tool/utility box filled with emergency stuff. Entrenching tool/shovel, tow straps, tie down straps and soft straps, rope, large Maglite and spare batteries, roadside flares, and an emergency tool kit. I also carry a Rubbermaid container with a gallon jug of distilled water (opened, with some air space for freeze expansion), quart motor oil, gallon gas can, bottle jack, outdoor blanket, tarp, fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit. I add a filled gas can on planned road trips or during winter commutes.
