    Be careful choosing a college

You must purchase your higher education carefully. It is true that an overwhelming majority of tenured professors are very socialist and viciously put down any differing decent in academia. Look at this stuff being disseminated to today's youth. NE Academic Urges US to Enforce Mandatory One-Child Policy

Knew a few gals from Hillsdale, they were too smart to let me ply my trade.

    Hillsdale College - Hillsdale College

"Independent" is a smart key word. Hillsdale doesn't take money from the gubbermint, so they are free to teach as they see fit.

My son was reviewing his college options by reading student reviews.

Auburn was his choice when he read a review that stated Auburn is good if you can stomach the beer-drinking, redneck right-wingers.

I'd say in today's world the only choice of college is "None".

I'd argue that a waitress that can bring in $45k/yr (I know plenty) is in a much better spot than 90% of the college grads out there that are saddled with student loans and very little knowledge of how to actually get a job.

Ever since Sallie Mae got in the way, more people are going to college and college prices are rising since the gov't guarantees that EVERYBODY can afford to go. That' guarantee doesn't come from actually vetting the creditworthiness of the borrower, but like so many other government things at the point of a gun.

Imagine not having the trappings of a doctor: No expensive house payment in a wealthy neighborhood, no expensive car lease payment, no expensive wardrobe, no expensive student loan debt, no expensive spouse, etc, etc. I'm thinking it all works out.

I'll take my wealth in land (free) and friends (You have to earn them, but they don't cost money). I know more non-college graduated wealthy people than the opposite. And I know some harvard MBAs that can't figure out how to run a company.

Not really higher education any more, higher indoctrination more like it. You toe their party line of fail . UW Wisconsin was caught a couple years ago by Governor Walk hiding almost 1 billion dollars in different funds while claiming to needing to increase cost because they were broke. Even when caught they tried to claim the State had no right to look at their books.
There are many the make 250-500,000 a year in the system and no one knows what they do.
