Seriously though... Ive been slightly depressed that I cant afford books lately. Then my mother suggested a library.
My relply was "do those still exist?"
Apparently they do... And now I have a library card and a headache.

Walking the isles in a good library can be exciting, so many choices and different options, and all free.

Ive seen some good libraries usually at collages and universities.
This was not a great library. I did find a few books I can use.

I go to the local library with my two Daughters 1-2 time per month. Not only do my daughters find enjoyment in age appropriate fiction books, but cook books, history books and science books. My Daughters are learning to be a bit of a chip off the old block with being diverse in what interests you and learning.

I used to love the libraries. I have not been in years tho. I usually order mine on line or go to the used book store, Banes & Noble, Etc.

Thanks for posting this reminder. There is one nearby me, haven't been in a few years. Such a great resource! I need to make a habit of going again, I like to have a book to read, why not read it then give it back and start another? Our taxes are providing the service anyway!

I'm just starting a research paper for college. We mostly search academic resources in an online database. There are books but I like books in Adobe PDF better. If there is a print book on the other side of the country you can get an interlibrary loan and they physically send the book. My topic is for now prescription drugs and cash. You guys remember in the news the 9,000% cost increase. Or maybe SSRI and shooters.

I used to love libraries, havent been to one in years.
I keep trying to get into electronic media but just cant seem to. Its good for a supplement or when you're on the road and cant carry a lot of books. When it comes down to it I just prefere real books but the price of books these days...man...
Ive ordered books online then had second thoughts about the price and cancelled the order.

I agree, I have read "E books" but can't seem to finish them. The format throws me off somehow. I prefer a physical book I can put a bookmark in and set down for later.

    The Library.

I am in a library as I write, I am using their systems, because I am a cheapskate.
This is me, on my cell phone, I am on the Sprint Network, like I said I am economical.
