Seems the voters tried to send a message last election, also seems the message wasn't received.

Yes, it will be passed, again. After all, we are so much farther down the road with the NDAA.

The liberal politicians love the Patriot Act because they love to control people and tell them what they must do. Except themselves, of course.
The moderate politicians love the Patriot Act because the thought of so much power (that they never had before in real life) excites them.
The NEOCON politicians love the Patriot Act because they can use it as a tool to screw over opponents to their desires.
The conservative politicians love the Patriot Act because they are basically paranoid.

That leaves Rand Paul and Ted Cruz.
    It will pass.

It is a free pass for government to intrude into the business of private citizens. They use the threat of terrorism to terrorize.

Remember the debates we had around the "office water cooler" back when the Patriot Act first came up? Remember how some of us thought the notion was insane because it would be eventually used against us?

Who are the named potential threats of today?

I especially remember hearing many times, "Oh, I don't do anything wrong so it doesn't affect me."

The POTUS is the only one who decides if it passes or not? Like NDAA?

I know most of you don't want to watch the video but John Oliver hit the nail on the head with this interview! People have no idea what amount of privacy they have given up to the government. John puts it in such away that most people will understand..."The government has your *ick shots!!". Funny and it is dumbed down enough for people to understand. =)
