Until he passed away, I was friends with a local small town gun shop owner.
Saturday mornings a number of us old geezers would hang around down there drink coffee and BS.
One day I asked if agents ever looked at the 4473’s. He said that several times a year they would come in, look thru the forms for errors, and leave. They never wrote anything down.
Federal agents have better things to do than come looking for everyone who ever bought a gun.

I’m on file in Tallahassee, prints, mug shot and all, because I have a concealed weapons and firearms license.
    I’m not worried.

Does anyone think that the BATFE does not retain the sales records forever?

The BATF is a Department/Bureau of the gummint that needs shuttered ASAP! What a waste and over reach.

They did a good job getting Timothy McVeigh after he blew up hundreds of innocent men, women, and children.

With an estimated 300+ million guns in American citizen's hands, what are the chances they are going to come to my door because I bought an AK 15 years ago?

Guns are bad. I turned ALL of mine in the last time the popo had their gun buy-back program. You know, to get them off the streets. "No questions asked".

Well, based on Bidens campaign,,, If he wins, he is going to try to tax everyones rifle, pistol, and magazines.
I hope we can sue him and stop it.
Point in this thread is, all weapons purchased through an FFL have a history written down and can be tracked. Unless you sold them, of which you dont need any records in my state.

Here in PA it is perfectly legal to sell any long gun to another PA resident without any paperwork or backround check. Other than looking at the vehicle license plate to verify that it is from PA, I have never got any identification from any buyer I sold too. No seller has ever asked me for ID either. Good luck tracking those guns.

And just yesterday I read an article estimating that there are now more than 400 million citizen owned guns in the USA. And personally, I consider that estimate low.
