    Charlie Daniels has passed

I was fortunate to see him play a few times in the 1970s

As a man of faith, he regularly posted scripture and prayers to his active Twitter feed.

    Morning prayer
Lord today our hearts and prayers turn to those who have to fight this plague alone, in isolation, without even the presence of a loved one to comfort them.
Strengthen them Father, give them courage and touch them with Your healing hands.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Daniels was politically active and regularly spoke out against the Democrat Party on a number of issues. He was an avid supporter of law enforcement and the U.S. military.

    paulag,

    I disagree.

It is GREAT NEWS that a wonderful man who lived a very full life and while he was loved by many and brightened our lives with his music and Faith, I am happy that Mr Daniels now gets to live his for-ever, not by Faith, but by Sight!

How wonderful is it to SEE GOD and witness his Heaven by sight and not by Faith? All of his pain is gone, all of his humanly defiencies have been removed as he sits at the right hand of God. Pretty dang cool if you ask me.

Earthly death sometimes is sad. But for many people, they get to live their for-ever in perfectness.

Remember, nobody is getting out of this alive!

    (I hope you understand)

I was never a fan of his music, not my thing. But I was a huge fan of his support for the 2nd Amendment. Much respect. RIP.

I saw him a couple years ago. Still put on a heck of a patriotic show at his age.

@Slippy has a good point. Charlie was 83. He lived a full life and shared his values and beliefs with thousands and thousands. God took him home. His job was done. RIP Charlie.
