Ammo cans don't work unless you want to remove the gasket and seal it with metalicized foam.

I don't think we are talking EMP pulse.

I'll give the ammo can a test, without the foam. Will report back. I know just being in aluminum sided houses blocks the signal. Even being in a valley hollow will.

I already have. It still sends & receives. Some of it might depend on how close to a tower you are. If you're going to use it in your car, odds are it'll pick up a strong signal somewhere.

I just turned off automatic updates. It’ll buy me a little time.

I have just a plain cell phone, nothing else.

It is off 99.999 % of the time, only it is only on when I go shopping alone and about half of that time out.

Usage is about 1 minute a month, nothing to see here.

I use the bags that circuit boards come in, mostly milsurp boards.

When I am home, I leave my phone on my workbench. I have no need for any phone at home. If the feds want to track my workbench, sobeit.

I dislike phones, but I like knowing my kids and also my mom can get ahold of me anytime. Hubs pays for it, so he can call me, too.

    St. Michael the Archangel,
    defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
    and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan,
    and all the evil spirits,
    who prowl about the world
    seeking the ruin of souls.

    Amen
