Hear me out on this one Rag,

In my voting life which spans lots of years, not one person that I voted for didn't raise taxes of some sort and/or passed legislation to take away freedom and liberty. NOT ONE! (Going back to Ronald Reagan) In all these years and all these votes only 1 vote from me was for a Democrat (1984 Howell Heflin for US Senate Alabama; and he was a pro gun, anti abortion, freedom loving Marine and WW2 Hero...but also a democrat.)

Every lying cheating stealing son of a bitch REPUBLICAN politician who I've voted for has taken more of our money, redistributed more of our wealth, gotten filthy rich, allowed more illegals to come in and take advantage of our welfare system, and helped to grow government and secure their little bullshit tyrannical kingdom, blah blah blah.

I have ZERO respect for any of them and will not give one of them my permission (via my vote) to fleece me or We The People and spit on the Constitution, the greatest document created, Ever Again. Screw everyone of them, with a red hot poker.

And this is why the Democrats win. We demand perfection and that never happens. Democrats win and that makes it even hard for the GOP to stand their ground. We may as well welcome The burn no socialism will win.

Seems to me this fight started somewhere else so I don't have all the facts involved......BUT to give up the Right and Freedom to vote that was given in the Constitution is tantamount to shitting on it while wiping your ass with it.

No our system isn't perfect, neither is the government and neither are we the people. The people have been complaining that government has been taking away our rights & freedoms 'guaranteed' by that Constitution for many years, People have and do still fought & died protecting it since it was written. Even those immigrants bust their asses to come here for those same rights & freedoms because we are the only country in the world that has that.....and you all want to hand it over & give it up?????? Just because it doesn't suit your fancy????

In many ways our vote doesn't seem to matter, but it is the only thing we have to make any kind of difference. If you don't like who's available on the ballot, there is a write in option. Don't like what's going on, then write or otherwise contact your reps. Don't like the response? Keep doing it anyway. Tell your friends, family & neighbors to do the same...….if you want your voice to be heard, then you gotta speak up. The squeaky wheel is the one that gets greased. But don't give up, don't give in...…..dammit we're Americans and we don't lay down in defeat.

Voting is not a right. That opinion of the founders was upheld by the Supreme Court in Gore v Bush.

What does it matter between two devils, that one has hair and the other has scales?

So a privilege? Sounds good for a privileged society I guess. This country has had it pretty easy in many ways compared to the rest of the world. But either way, I can respect others views but not their complacency for apathy.

Idealistic? Maybe, but given the way our country is going off like a stampede of wild horses heading for a cliff, some of us need to hold onto those reigns in the hopes of atleast slowing it down.

See ya round the backside

I know I'm full if shit. My wife tells me so every day!
But I still vote in every election I can. My philosophy is "if you don't vote, then don't complain".
Ohhh I vote! I am on a mission to find the very best devil I can. As far as me being full of shit? Yeah, my wife will confirm that.

Vote the best choice I can make. Then try to influence the those that are elected by that vote. The best way to win is to fight not avoid it. I have my state and national reps on the phone contact list , email and have addresses . But your ass they hear form me.
I try to state my view and their error in a polite way but stand my ground.
I was not a big fan of Trump. Still vote for him kicking and screaming. Still have my issues with his foul mouth but will vote for him again. He is not prefect but beats the heck out of the other option. Wisconsin was taken over by Democrats last election because Conservative voters stayed home, and democrats vote a few extra times. We will lose the State supreme court soon for the same reason.

My vote is important to me and I will always vote. Unfortunately is seems that I am always voting for the lessor of two evils. President Trump is the first person I've voted for with no reservations. So far, he has done only one thing that I totally disagrred with, the cummutation of Rod Blagojevich, the one time crooked governor of IL, where I lived since service. At present, I see the dems as the epitome of evil, out to destroy the US. So again, I must vote for the party of the lessor of two evils.

While we are on the subject of Voting; Take a look around at your local city, county/parish, state or federal government buildings. Pretty dang nice aren't they? The vehicles and equipment are also very nice, right?

Take some time one day and walk around and try and talk to tax payer funded employees at these very nice and well maintained government buildings. Matter of fact, take your phone or a video recorder and interview them. Ask them questions about their jobs and see what you get. :vs_whistle:

But before you do this, remember that YOU are paying for these people and the opulent building and facilities in which they "work".

In my entire life, no government facility in the areas that I have resided or paid taxes in, has ever been shut down or closed without another more extravagent one getting built first.

Makes a man wonder why he works so hard to pay taxes....:vs_worry:

America is at that awkward stage, too late to work within the system, and too soon to shoot the bastards.
Until that time, I will vote, and keep my weapons clean and ready.

If I could, I would like this a thousand times. This is exactly where we are and moving closer every day to shooting the bastards.

Well, having LOST the right to vote, due to my own fault, I will vote for everything I possibly can, now that I can. They are constantly raising taxes here. They are constantly adding to the list of things I can and can NOT do, so I feel as a tax paying citizen its MY Responsibility to VOTE.

If you always do what you've always done, you always get what you've always gotten.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Psychologically, we may define a disorder as any personal construction which is used repeatedly in spite of consistent invalidation.

The above quotes sum up the decision I made to stop granting liars my permission to screw me.

Believe me, I do not want anyone of you to change your mind about voting because of the conclusion that I came to.

One day I had enough and stepped off the damn Merry-Go-Round, walked into my county's voter registration office and asked that they take me off their roles.

I asked politely, one might even have said that I was charming. I remember the 2 female county tax payer funded workers were somewhat surprised and even confused as to why I would do this.

As one lady pulled up my Voter Registration Record the other one asked me why I was doing this. I told her I had come to the conclusion in 4 decades of voting that as a Free Man, I had been granting evil people domain over my person, my property and my freedom and I could no longer allow them to do that in my pursuit of happiness.

I don't think they understood nor cared. :plain:
