I saw a news article today, can’t remember exactly where or exact details and numbers. Basically, the article said that in early Feb. one west coast port saw over 30,000 ship containers come into the port in one 24 hour period. 3 weeks later that number dropped to roughly 2700. Less containers means less ships, less trucks, less trains, less goods to sell in the stores and all this equates to layoffs.

Since we already have one school district here in Washington that closed its doors starting today, my husband and I were talking about the ramifications of that this morning. Working parents are going to bear the brunt and it will be brutal for them. Those who don't have family members nearby will expect non-working neighbors to care for their children. If my past experience is any indication, they'll feel like the SAHPs in the neighborhood owe this to them since, "they don't do anything all day anyway."

The liberal media is driving this mantra in hopes of an economic collapse before the election....this virus is serious but it isn’t as bad as the regular flu season, yet, the media is making to be worse than what it is....JMO

That's because the manufacturing/production centers in China are still shut down; unknown when they'll start up again. <--per WorldRadio,BBC broadcasting out of Wuhan.
Hope everybody is well stocked in aspirin, Rx's, electronics, car parts...and everything else we used to get from China. Used to.

Although I think this extreme of a scenario is not going to unfold this whole thing should make all of remember just how fragile our society really is. One swift kick in the right place and it all crumbles.

This is all happening because our business and political leaders allowed us to become far too dependent on only one supplier. Trump will be blamed but this isn’t Trump’s fault. Maybe we will all learn a lesson here. But I doubt it. Greed and power always overcome common sense.

I think the economic impact will be huge
Business not producing, drugs not available, products, ( auto parts, toys, textiles, etc) will be huge.
If factories do not get stock, they will not produce products.
The medical issues will be the least of the problems.
