Traveling to Mexico for my anniversary

One week from this upcoming Wednesday, my wife and I are traveling to Cancun for 5 days to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The first question is why she ever married me in the first place - I out-kicked my coverage for sure.

The second question is that while I am a very seasoned traveler, having traveled close to 50% overseas for close to 15 years, I am unsure, from a prepping standpoint, what to bring. There are no hurricanes in the area nor forecasted, so I am not worried about water. So far I can only think of photo copies of our passports, in case we have ours stolen. Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    hansonb4

I would only ask why are you supporting a country that treats Americans like they do? Just something to think about, no need to respond and have others dogpile on.

You do know that over 106,000 people died in the Mexican drug war? Is this one of the safer areas?

More people died in the Mexican drug war than American service men died fighting the war on terror.

    Well happy anniversary.

Don't take any firearms! Don't leave the compound. If you go sight seeing, Don't drink any water unless it come from a sealed bottle. And don't let them give you ice for the water. Drink it from the bottle.

Yes, aware of the cartels and very familiar with the politics. But 99% of that crap is on the border states.

I don't mind dog-piling on our good friend Hanson. The only reason I'd go to mexico would be to smuggle about 17 million of their degenerates BACK.

You could say the same thing about this country. Some guy, here in Chicago, was acquitted of murder, after spending 20 years in jail for a crime he didn't commit. It was a corrupt cop and DA process.

Besides - I see the American soldier in Mexico issue as more of our POTUS being a pussy and not fighting for an American soldier.

Any BOB recommendations to fit them all in?
