Proof Progressives Don't Care About Gun Safety

Pretty sure we all know the Progressives screaming for gun control don't really care about keeping people safe but rather care about disarming any resistance to their agenda. But for anyone who might not already know that read on.

I posted a story yesterday about a scumbag that went on a stabbing spree in my county. Well we now have more information on the perp that most around the country won't hear because the MSM will be onto the next gory story. This POS is, get ready to be surprised, a known gang member. He also has multiple felonies and a wrap sheet that looks like a novel. Come to find out this guy has been arrested 14 times since 2016. Everything from burglary to domestic violence to drug charges. This guy has so many strikes he should've been locked away for life. But here in CA we have something called AB109. This assembly bill was passed a few years ago and what is says is basically, if you are arrested you can only be sentenced for the crime you were arrested for and your other past crimes will not be factored in. It also allows many felonies to be dropped to misdemeanors as Liberals want to keep people out of prison due to overcrowding.

Now back to our friend the slasher who killed 4 innocent people and wounded 2 others. This would define him as a mass stabber. Well he was arrested very recently for possession with intent to sell meth amphetamines, and possession of an "assault rifle" while selling meth AND a felon in possession of a firearm. Because of AB109 and Prop 57 (Another clusterf*ck here in CA) all of his crimes were dropped to misdemeanors and being a felon in possession of a firearm was dismissed.

So there you have it folks. CA politicians and their strict gun laws are NOT enacted to keep people safe because this felon in possession of an illegal "assault rifle" was patted on the head and released back into the streets. Luckily he didn't steal or illegally buy another "assault rifle" and only grabbed two knives when he decided to go on his murderous rampage this time. But the result is he killed 4 and wounded 2. Had he not been out on the streets after being caught as a felon with an "assault rifle" as he should have been those people would still be alive.

Obviously this happened in CA so the CA politicians should be held responsible for this tragedy. But we all know the Socialists Progressives all over this country feel the same way as the ones in CA. So, really, the could give a flying **** about keeping people safe and instead focus on punishing law abiding gun owners while allowing violent killers to go free and continue to acquire firearms deemed "military style" to play with.

That makes no sense. Well, I guess it does. California has spent so much money on liberal causes that it can't protect the public by keeping dangerous creatures behind bars.

I don't think the rest of the country understands. It's not that they don't have the money. They don't want to keep dangerous creatures behind bars. They refuse to arrest homeless that break into cars and homes or shoot up in pubic because they think their homelessness is someone else's fault.

They refuse to keep violent criminals in jail/prison because they think it's not their fault they are violent and criminals.

They refuse to help ICE or arrest illegals breaking the law because they believe it's not their fault.

And the law abiding gun owner that pays his taxes and takes care of their kids are punished with over zealous laws and regulations.

This is how it will be if/when the Progressives get full power over the nation. CA is a window into the possible near future.

I used to love CA had relatives that lived up by Burbank and dad loved to go to Santa Anita and I liked to tag along.
Seemed to always be sunny and good weather and Loved an IN N OUT Burger! This was years ago now I think I want to keep at least a one state buffer between
myself and CA as it all seems upside down and in a death spiral! Sadly I'm never going back and hope what I see is not a glimpse into the rest of USA down the road!

Yeah, Your not going to see the MSM report much on this. It doesn't fit the narrative. There needs to come a time that these socialist liberals see up close and personnel the realities of their wrong headed policies. They don't have to live or deal with the illegals and criminals they turn loose on us from behind their high walls and security guards. Then, they have the nerve to try and take away our ability to protect ourselves from their wrong headed agenda. I can only hope I am alive to see one day, the king and queen's damned fool heads role down the street.

I moved from Ma. and in with relatives in Downy in early 1965.
A couple months later I moved to Compton with my cousin who came to Ca. with me.
Well low and behold after settling in we were faced with a small event called the Watt's riots!
I thought war, death, loot, pillage and plunder was left behind me in another world.
Those people were in many ways just like the VC run amok in a village.
It is funny how your mind can shift gears into a totally different persona and stay there for an extended period of time.
I would never go back there even for a visit, I assume it is 10-100 times worse than when I was there.
All I can say is thank you JCG.
We left sunny California and were home for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
That incident totally changed my opinion minorities.
This state is starting to do the same thing with criminals, reduced charges, dropped charges, past crimes hidden from the jury.
Also, reduced sentences then early parole.

Your last statement is spot on. In the early 90’s there was a study that showed 3 states influenced national politics and directions. As the states went, so ultimately would the rest of the nation. Those states were .... Florida, Colorado and ....... California.

So a windows into the future of America is accurate as that study holds true to this day.
