As time goes by, everyone will begin to know to slow down because the police are there and ready to hand out tickets. Then the cops will have to have a new hangout. So, my advice for what it's worth, is to give it the tincture of time. You---err, I mean the renter?---doesn't want law enforcement to be adversarial towards this establishment. Good luck!

In case nobody watches the news on TV the cops are history in the big ciy ghettos. Its time for the democrats to learn how to police themselves. Best thing we can do do is lock and load and get ready to fight back when they come for us.

Here’s what happens - the property is ideally located down hill and around a tree blocked corner on a four lane road right where it goes from 45 MPH to 25 MPH. The City Police LOVE to set up in the properties 9-10 car parking lot and catch speeders. Can’t blame ‘em.
The principal has politely asked the police not to. The concern’s activities are such that its clients are typically uncomfortable around police, and could very well avoid the establishment if there was a police car parked there frequently.
The police have pretty much ignored these polite requests all the way up to the chief of police.
I’ve already established, through my own research, that the police need IMPLICIT permission to establish “traffic enforcement” activities from private property. Since polite confrontation didn’t work, the city council would be the next step. Unfortunately I live in a corrupt and nepotistic town. So what are some more asymmetrical approaches to this problem?
WE THE PEOPLE have willingly voted in socialists over the past 100 years that have systematically removed any semblance of Property Rights. When the cops are positioned in the parking lot, the owner should buy them a cup of coffee and ask them politely to leave. Tell them that it is a safety concern. Treat them as nicely as you can; catch more flies with honey than vinegar...
Just be glad that its not Fish and Game, WE THE PEOPLE have allowed lawmakers to make laws that allow Fish and Game to piss on our property rights
If you really want them to reconsider where they are parking, place copious amounts of these in the parking spots.
You can may your own (DIY) version with a container of NM staples from Home Depot and a couple of pliers. Just grab a leg of each staple with a pliers and twist the staple so the legs are 90° to each other.
