    This Chick is Bad Ass

I don't know if you remember, but a few months ago, the news reported that Navy Chief Shannon Kent was the 'cryptologist' that was killed in Syria.

That doesn't even come close to what she did. She is a bad ass Spec Ops warrior, that spoke 7 languages, and did 8 tours in harm's way before she gave the ultimate sacrifice. She left behind her Ranger husband and 2 sons (a 3 year old and 1 year old).

Black Rifle Coffee Company did a solid write-up on her and I encourage you to read about a true patriot.

The public doesn't know it, but there have been females imbedded with Army Ranger teams that go out to the villes in the dead of night looking for taliban.
They kit up just like the Rangers, and while they have not had Ranger training, they HAVE been trained to a level that allows the Rangers to include them. Their job was to interrogate females found in the compounds.

Lt Ashley White, KIA, was one, and the book "Ashley's War" covers these women well.

I really come close to losing it when I think of our young daughters having to go into harms way like that.

I'd just prefer to wipe the world free of muslims and never have to send another one out.

    Really boils my blood.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

The "Daughters" are tough as nuts and they are backed by some of the baddest warrior in the world protecting little sister from without and within...like Brothers do. That is when they get to the SOF levels, This last 10 years has opened my eyes more to how much women bring to the fight, I see them, strong, lean, muscled up and able to run like an antelope and shoot like a killer. There's some sexiness in there, but we mostly to afraid to piss them off, so we just treat em like little sister and keep the muchers away from here..

God Bless her and her family.

You see them that way but I don't.

My favorite niece and her two beautiful daughters are in town. No matter how old my niece is, I'll always see her as the little girl her two daughters are. The three of them will always be my little girls.
My son is also in town. I don't see my son as a little boy. He's full grown, has a really good job in the military/industrial complex and is also in the Air Guard. Combat commo in some sort of SF commo squadron. If he gets KIA'd, I will be devastated but I'll remember him as a warrior and a great man. If one of my nieces were killed in action, I would remember them as little girls.

I was military police and while I only had one law enforcement assignment, I saw how good it was to have a female on the team in certain situations. I get it. Still.

This is what the silver breast insignia just below her ribbon bar means.
    Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist

    Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist

The qualification was developed to provide a chance for enlisted sailors in the naval service's Expeditionary Combat community (those serving in a maritime security or combat related role) to earn a warfare qualification. Core qualification skills will include weapons qualification and maintenance, marksmanship, land navigation, field communications, and expeditionary camp deployment. The first awardee was Petty Officer 2nd Class (EXW/SW) Carl P. Hurt, Jr of Mobile Security Squadron Seven, based out of Guam.

I got to Group 3's SDVT1 in Pearl City HI in 2007. The Expeditionary Warfare was a pin for them to attain while in a Specific Unit of the Navy. It was/is quite arduous. Ours was cut off for a while before I left due to a much needed rewrite of a specific qualification. Coxswain. We had a death, and after reviewing the qualifications, it was found to be subpar, and needed a revamp. So, I wasnt able to complete my card while there.
I was just Submariner, stationed at an awesome Command..
We have had female combatants since 2016, officially I believe.
Chief Kent was an incredible person, mother, Sailor, Warrior. Cant say enough of the things she did for her family and out country.
