    Squatch's High School Yearbook

Most of you guys grew up in the country. I grew up at the beach. This pic was used in my high school yearbook. I believe I was a sophomore at the time.

If you have an old high school pic you'd like to share add it to the thread.

Personally, . . . I've been in the ocean 3 times, . . . just decided that it really was not my personal space, . . . but more a Kroger store for lurking hungry denizens of the deep, . . .

    Haven't been back since, . . . doubt if I ever will.

    May God bless,

You name it and I've probably swam with it. I've seen sharks, turtles, seals, Orca and not a one of them were remotely interested in eating me. However, I have been stung 3 different times by stingrays. Was my fault for not shuffling my feet in the water. Hurts like an SOB but you get over it.

My father grew up miles from the Gulf of Mexico. They were farmers and weren't rolling in the money, so hitting the water was more about gathering protein than it was about having a good time. Thing is, the salt water gets into your veins and it is passed down to your children.
My early memories are of home in Alabama weekends and vacations on the Gulf. I can't tell you how much time I spent swimming, body-surfing, fishing and crabbing. Several years ago, I got into diving and learned so much more about the Gulf of Mexico. Incredible isn't a strong enough word.
I love the woods and I love the hills and mountains. No doubt. Still, I can't get the salt water out of my veins and I'll never try.

The only photo of me in my yearbook is the formal studio photo everyone had taken.

All the candids in there were taken by me.

Cali man as Cali boy!!! So that's you getting ready to ride the waves? You're tall.

As a kid we had fun times on the Jersey shore. My uncle had a place there, one of those double decker houses right on the edge of the sand dunes.

Mom tossed my yearbook on me after I moved out of the house. *Sigh* Actually my girlfriend said she still has hers. We graduated the same year. I told her it'd be fun if she'd share it with me sometime. Reminisce. If I ever do, maybe I'll share some pics.

Thank God there is no such thing as an yearbook in here 😂
And I have very little pictures of the high school years. As for the beach, I live very far away from it, and the sun does not agree with my skin.
