Great to hear that you are on the mend. Hernia surgery is generally a piece of cake but make sure you do not lift anything heavier than a KA-BAR for the next number of weeks.
And lay off those Mickey D fries, the little sumbitches are not natural...when our Sons were little, every so often we'd take them to McDonalds (why? I don't know but we did...but I digress)...of course kids being kids, they would often drop a fry in the car between the seats only to be found months, possibly years later. Surprisingly, the fries were still perfectly preserved!
But as one might guess, inquiring minds wanted to know...Did they still taste the same after months under the car seat? So we enlisted the skills of Son1, (who, as a toddler, often would eat dog food from the bowl...) so we fed the little curtain climber the fry and he gobbled it down like a fat man at a Golden Corral buffet...two thumbs up....the fry was still good! :vs_laugh:
Yes, the world has done gone crazy!
Get well soon!
I've been walking around and playing in the computer for four hours. The pain is down to 25% at least. I seem to heal faster and blunt the pain by working out, or walking. If I "rest" I wake up stiff and "owly." I did buy myself a knife as a personal get-well present.
EDIT: Slippy, leave it to you to send me get-well wishes in one breath, and then spear me on another. BTW, I haven't had anything from McDonald's in over eight years by actual count. For me it's been the gym, green vegetables and fish. I hadn't eaten in 30 hours, so I figured the fries were okay.
Here's to a speedy recovery!
Praise the Lord! Great news on the successful surgery and speedy recovery.
I was told it would take three or four days until the pain lessened. When I got up, it was tender for about an hour, and then it started to fade. It is now 1:30PM, and the pain is gone.
