Its been low by recent years standards, for the past couple months dipping down under $15. I do not see $13 silver in the near future, instead I believe the buy point of $14.50 remains the same, if you are in a position to increase your hedge against a fiat currency.

The stock market decline isn’t like 08/09 yet but I dare say yet. In the last big decline housing foreclosures became common place, layoffs common place, and Corp profits were on the decline. We have none of those going down right now or I’d say get into silver and gold with gusto but I don’t see it moving much in these markets.

I would suggest not trying to chase the low. Do you want to buy silver? Do it.

I have owned some silver ETFs as part of a retirement account but generally metals are for SHTF purposes. I wonder how they are valued in Venezuela right now.

Gold and silver markets are heavily influenced by some very wealthy people. The run it up and down to profit from it. Few news articles dump or buy some and they effect priced.

A one dollar swing in the price of silver equates to a twenty dollar bill on a 20 coin tube. At the quantities I own and periodically purchase, and I suspect most other buyers here as well, it's not a real investment that will likely provide monetary gain. It is however, a viable alternative to offset a potential monetary collapse or confiscation of the US dollar.

Currently you have large investors sitting on as much as a billion dollars cash. That is not all of them added up but each. They are looking to bring prices down to buy cheap. Then run the game all over again. The housing crash all those safe guards put in place it will never happen again. BS they are playing the same game now they were then, running up prices by flipping property hoping not to be the last fool up.
Right now you can once again buy a house with no cash in it double up on loans to get it and try and flip it.
Remember all that gold and silver if it aint in your hand, all you own is a peace of paper.
