If anyone is expecting to rely on zip ties to immobilize anyone, please do your research and change that point of view. By all accounts, they are junk for human restraint, regardless of their proposed use. Yes, even those designed for the task. Do not rely on plastic to restrain someone.
You are restraining someone because they are a danger to you. Are you willing to risk their escape?
Steel or nothing.

You can buy a 10 pack of ziptie handcuffs on Amazon for less than $20. While they will probably never be needed it does give you options if you do need to restrain someone. Yes, metal handcuffs are probably better but price vs the small chance you'll ever need them makes nylon cuffs a reasonable item to me.
Say you caught 3 people stealing your stuff and they surrender when you point a weapon at them. You can't just shoot them, but without local law enforcement there is little to keep them from trying to come back another night. Nylon cuffs would go a long way towards helping you relocate them or march them into town.
Yes, in many SHTF scenarios marching them into town may not be very useful but having the cuffs gives you options.
I cant, I am to fat, LOL.
