Knifes not allowed in US customs ??

So guys I sold one knife to a fellow bushcrafter in US , today I was in the post and they told me that the US Customs has knifes in restricted items list , I was shocked.... After visiting it the second time I asked if they have sent knifes they said yes , if they had any confiscated they said no , so I decided to still send it , but man I'm nervous what if it get confiscated?! MY question is have you every ordered knifes outside the US and have you had any problems with th US Customs confiscating it or sending it back , please tell me , I can't sleep im so nervous , I don't want to let the guy down and send his money back because I will lose quite amount of money that way , I paid leg and an arm to ship it

I'm pretty sure the only things the PDRUS customs don't restrict are tampons and do it yourself sex change kits.

With a majority of knives being made in China, Americans order thousands of them, probably daily. I've ordered knives and gun stuff from China, Taiwan, UK, Poland and Israel and never had a problem with it and also not heard of any from friends or aquaintance's.

Don't mean there won't be though.

My Fälkniven S1 Pro arrived from Sweden without incident.

I have never ordered them from outside the U.S. But I have carried them through dozens of times. They are always packed in my luggage since I am always flying and I cannot carry them in an airport. But they have never said a word about them even when they search my bag. I had a Canadian customs ask one time about the Gerber multitool that I carry in my bag, but that was only to ask if I had one because he was not sure if he recognized it on the x-ray. Still, it was not a big deal.

Cold Steel and SOG would be out of business if knives couldn't be imported into the US. However sending one knife via a private sale may or may not be different. Good luck.
