Really happy to be back home tonight

I just spent half a day at a friends place, 40 miles from home. Got a lift there in another guys car. None of the folks there were preppers. All I had with me was a small revolver and what I could carry in my pockets. No boots or clothing, no get home bag, nothing that I usually have with me when I'm that far away from home base. And let me tell you, I was nervous as a canary in a cathouse.

I must be getting scary in my old age.

I hear ya. I hate depending on someone else for a ride anywhere. If they only knew what I've got in the back of my truck...

I feel for you. I always drive. That nervous feeling is rough.

I always feel somewhat vulnerable when away from home, though it does trigger a heightened awareness

Thats why I hate flying; can't take what I want to take with me.

I hate being away from my vehicle. I am always armed but that truck is my life line and I know what ever vehicle I am in has nothing close to the equipment in my truck. Flying is worse. I keep thinking if anything happens, now would be the time. when I am away from my base.

Will agree with them who say dont never run off and leave your wheels. A preson never knows when they might get mad and want to go home unexpectedly. Glad you survived.

You guys are real preppers. I never take anything anywhere.
My stuff stays at home under the stairs.
