    I JUST FOUND A LAPTOP.

    haate using a tàblet.?.........

I,LL BE printing out e erything I can asap as loosing digital stuff Sucks!

I just had to rebuild my 9N Ford tractor distributor, I have the service manual, and a smaller version, I,m glad I,d read enough to do the work on memory.

ITt,s á funky distributor that mounts on front of block under water pump. You need to pull whole assy out. I took it down completely, and 80 year old tractor pulls a 5' brush hog through 5' high fields/goldenrods again, in 2nd gear!**

I remember doing my 40 Ford's distributor, was in front also, only way to work on it was for it to be out.

Of course it had two upper radiator hoses to help with the frustration.

That was the "good old days".

Went through the digital thingy two weeks ago, have a new laptop also.

Worst part of rebuild was finding non-Chicom parts. I had most tuneup parts, oem/nos ford. I also needed a coil, that,s a special part for you non-N ford owners.

New chi-com stuff don,t last a year. This tractor is 80 years old and runs like new, most parts are original. 6V positive ground iggnition, I plow snow with it, starts right up.

I went to TCS, they had a coil, but it was a POS! Damm thing didn,t even have the top cover riveted on tight. NAPA still has echlin coils. Not American, but not fhi-com chit!

@SOCOM42 , many old fords had those distributors, model As and such.

Try to find someone who still can work oni those!

My 9N had a Model A 3- brush generator on it when I brought it Many years ago. It worked, but I,ve since found a OEM Ford genny for a tractor.

How many out there understand a 3-brush generator? I was befuddeled as to why the battery dischared with the lights on. 3rd brush is the voltage regulator.
