Lightbulb Can Rotator For Pantry - Simple and Cheap

For those of us that don't have hundreds and possibly a thousand dollars or more to buy a Shelf Reliance can rotation system, just build your own from cheap wood. This requires very little woodworking skills and no special equipment. My wife loves these things and I plan on building more of them in the future.

Nice, I like it. I'm gonna build some. I will use some nice cedar though. Thanks for posting and keep the ideas coming.

Thanks for posting, funny, I just built a bunch of shelves last week. I need to think on this some to decide if it something I want to build, either way, it was a great find, and again thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting. We have some leftover wood in the garage, looks like I found a weekend project for the hubby.

Thanks for the responses. You can build these easily from any type of wood you have laying around. I always have a big scrap pile of wood in my garage and it is projects like these that help me get rid of scrap wood and make something useful at the same time.

I built mine completely from 1/4" plywood that I had. Rather than using brads I cut slots for the ramps and glued it all together. The "boxes" hold seven cans in the same room that you could put four cans on a shelf and it is easy to restock. I made different sizes for the different cans that we had; from tuna cans to soup cans and the large cans of beans. I am working on a way to so the same kind of thing with glass canning jars of different sizes but I haven't solved the impact problem yet. The last thing I need is broken canning jars in the pantry.
