This was a fun project but I will likely take this one apart in the winter and redo it with a better case and front panel. Gen 2 will have a solar battery charger in the case.
Anyway Covid 19 project completed!
Oh the batteries are from Canadian tire and are for kid cars and UPS systems 7.2 amp hours each and I have 3. The bigger version will have an RV battery most likely.
cost of the project was 200 cdn for the box and 100 for a 40 watt panel. Thats about 12 bucks USD rightSeriously about 200 bucks usd should give you the whole thing.
