    V-Bulletin Infraction Tool and Usage

In an effort to standardize moderating, Prepper Forums is implementing the VBulletin "infraction" tool. It works on a points system, much like your drivers license.

An example of how this works would be if a member uses inappropriate language. An infraction penalty would be issued, which would would add 10 points to the member's account and would generate a warning that would be sent to the member by private message. Now, let's assume that member doesn't get the hint and yet again uses inappropriate language. Another infraction penalty is issued, which will add another 10 points. Obviously, the total is 20 points, and with that comes a three day posting ban.

Again, like your drivers license, points roll off with time. The points received will roll off in 90 days.

We hope this will make things more predictable. Predictability helps prevent what most all of us hate - unnecessary board drama.

Any questions, please PM an admin or mod.

The Rants section, as has been in the past, will continue to have more relaxed rules.
