On any Ruger that has Mag safety and or Load chamber indicator you can remove them you self. One of those anyone can do it things. Personally I like the Idea of the Mag safety . Lot less people get shot in the foot... And it does not stop you from reloading in a gun fight.

Well my general argument against mag safeties aint with the reloading...other than the gun wont shoot when the mag is out of the gun to do a reload. That seems dangerous. If you have a useable round in the chamber..that give a little breathing room to get a fresh one it if the bad guys should attack while the swap out is being done.

Such is a gun fight and SD this is very unlikely. I understand what your are saying . But years of playing around a working at it have shown it is not a big deal.

For me it's my CZ-85B. It's a boat anchor for a 9mm at over 2 pounds. 16+1 rounds. I shoot it the best of any of my pistols. And I just plain like it.

Lately been carrying my P07 as a lighter option though.

Glock 19 is primarily around, but if not that one, it would be my XD45, followed by the 1911.

Of all of them the 1911 is my favorite, but after numerous classes I moved to high caps for that very thing.

These are some of my door go to guns.

    Have many more.

Top two are in 41 MAG and 44 MAG, the rest 45 ACP.

The revolvers are loaded with Black Talon, autos, Winni. SXT,

They are with others, strategically placed in each room.

No one is allowed here at anytime without advance calling and approval.

A pound on the door at 2 AM will bring fire and brimstone to any invader, if needed.

BIGWHEEL, the two smith 4566 autos have mag safeties, never even notice them.

Carried one of them, the 4566TSW tactical, when on the swat team.

That's a real nice group, I've always had a thing for nice wheel guns, those two are beauties. I've only got a couple S&W's myself, but would love some more.

I like the old US Army entrenching tool. The one used post WW2 to Vietnam. (Not the new one with the triangular handle - useless as a melee weapon).
It is not even necessary to sharpen the edges.
